🇪🇺 ORDERS FROM THE EU- CUSTOMS, VAT & COFFEE TAX

Since the UK left the European Union, orders shipped from the UK to EU countries are treated as imports. This means your local customs office may charge import VAT, customs duties, and in some cases coffee tax (for roasted or soluble coffee) when your parcel arrives.

Are these extra costs included in your prices?
No — all prices on our website are shown excluding EU import charges. Any import VAT, duties, or handling fees are paid by the customer directly to their local customs or delivery service before the parcel can be released.

How much will I need to pay?
The exact amount depends on your country’s tax rules. For example, Germany currently charges:

• Import VAT: typically 19%

• Coffee tax: around €2.19 per kilogram for roasted coffee

• Other EU countries have similar VAT rates but may differ in their handling or processing fees.​

 

Can you help with customs paperwork?
Yes! All orders include a commercial invoice with the correct product details and value to make customs clearance as smooth as possible. If your customs office asks for additional information, please get in touch — we’re happy to help.

We recommend checking your local customs website for import rules on roasted coffee before ordering. Some customers also find it helpful to order smaller quantities at a time to stay below certain duty thresholds.
