Borbon is one of the first branches in the coffee family tree. Stolen by the French from the Turks in the port of Mocha, Yemen; it was taken to a French colony near Madgascar. The island eventually became British territory, used as a prison for Napoleon Bonaparte -famously a keen coffee lover- and then returned to the French, who went on to name the island La Reunion.
