The classic and widely known Castillo -developed by the Colombian Coffee Federation- has for a long time established itself as a variety that allows for experimentation and innovation, even for smaller farms. This batch comes from the Caramanta farm, who refer to it as 'Castilla', in a similar way that some farmers call 'Caturra' trees 'Carruros'.
This variety is the most widespread plant in the country due to its bacterial resistance and increased crop yields.
